Air Products Membrane Solutions' produksjonsanlegg drives nå av 100 % fornybar energi

Air Products, den globale lederen innen produksjon av gasseparasjons- og rensemembraner, har annonsert at Air Products Membrane Solutions' produksjonsanlegg i nærheten av St. Louis, Missouri, nå er drevet av 100 prosent fornybar solenergi.
Å konvertere det omtrent 17 000 kvadratmeter store produksjonsanlegget til fornybar energi er en del av Air Products' overordnede forpliktelse til å firedoble mengden fornybar energi som brukes til å produsere produktene sine globalt innen 2030, sammenlignet med et referansenivå i 2023. Air Products' mål om fornybar energi er en del av Air Products' innsats for å nå netto null karbonutslipp fra driften innen 2050.
“The membranes produced at our facility provide environmental benefits for customers in numerous industries from biogas, to alternative maritime fuel transport, to hydrogen recovery,” said Dr. Erin Sorensen, Air Products’ General Manager, Membrane Solutions. “Now, we can proudly say that Air Products’ membrane separators and systems are built using sustainably-sourced energy providing a positive impact for the local community and helping Air Products reach its sustainability goals while working with our customers to generate a cleaner future.”
Solar power for the facility is provided by Ameren Missouri’s Renewable Solutions program. Based in St. Louis, Ameren Corporation supplies power for 2.4 million electric customers and more than 900,000 natural gas customers in a 64,000-square-mile area throughout Missouri and Illinois.

Air Products designs, engineers, manufactures, and markets a full portfolio of PRISM®Membrane Separators, Marine Systems, and Engineered-to-Order Systems. Air Products’ systems are also designed to create more sustainable energy sources and raise productivity across a variety of industries and applications.
In addition to its current manufacturing facility near St. Louis, Air Products Membrane Solutions has announced a $70 million expansion at the site. The expansion is driven by growing product demand in biogas and hydrogen recovery applications, as well as customer needs for the use of nitrogen for the aerospace industry and cleaner fuels for the marine industry.
